About the brand
Ōshadi’s story is quite inspiring! Founded by Nishanth Chopra in 2016, Ōshadi is a regenerative fashion initiative that focuses on creating a sustainable seed-to-sew supply chain in rural India. The name “Ōshadi” means “essence of nature” or “healing plant” in Sanskrit.
Ōshadi operates a 250-acre regenerative cotton farm where they grow cotton and indigo using restorative agricultural practices. This approach helps improve soil health, increase biodiversity, and capture carbon.
They work closely with local farmers and artisans, ensuring that every stage of production—from spinning and dyeing to weaving and sewing—is carried out sustainably and ethically within the local community.
Explore their collection, the Lily Ruffle dress and skirt are my faves!
Ōshadi’s products generally range from around ₹5,000 to ₹20,000 (approximately €55 to €220), depending on the type of garment and the intricacy of the craftsmanship involved. Dresses and outerwear tend to be on the higher end of the spectrum, while tops and accessories are usually more affordable.
